Please be aware of mugging hotspot around CIBE perimeter

The Management Association would like to advise individuals entering and exiting the precinct on foot to be vigilant. This follows reports of four muggings which have taken place in the past fortnight on CIBE’s perimeter. Individuals have been targeted at the bottom of Syringa Road near the cemetery and near the CIBE bridge on Longifolia Rd. In most cases, victims have been walking alone and in the early morning and evening.

The CIBE Management Association’s patrol vehicle has been tasked with standing off at these locations and CCTV patrols will be conducted where possible. We appeal to everyone using these areas to walk in groups and to avoid them at night if possible.

Please ensure any incidents are reported to the CIBEMA hotline number on 086 124 4258.
