Municipal service delivery remained a focus this month, with multiple municipal departments working alongside precinct management to address infrastructure issues and support ongoing improvements across Cornubia Industrial & Business Estate.
4 Infrastructure Faults Attended to
Municipal teams attended to four reported infrastructure faults during the month, comprising a sidewalk repair, a traffic light repair and two sewer blockages. Work included sidewalk repairs on Tottum Road, repairs to faulty traffic lights on JG Champion Drive, and responses to sewer blockages on Syringa Road. In addition, the Roads Department assessed damaged kerbs and manholes throughout the precinct that will require future replacement and maintenance interventions.
Streetlight Functionality Maintained at 82%
Electrical teams carried out streetlight repairs on Tottum Road while continuing with electrical cable installation works and municipal inspections across the estate. These efforts helped maintain precinct lighting levels at 82% operational during the month.
September also saw progress on a strategic infrastructure project, with the precinct fibre duct cleaning and duct jetting programme commencing and continuing throughout the month. The project is aimed at supporting future connectivity, improving service reliability and strengthening infrastructure resilience across the estate.
