Anticipated CIBEMA projects for 2023

As we look ahead into 2023, we anticipate a few projects to improve not only the aesthetics but ensure a functioning, well-managed and secure precinct. While the CIBEMA team still places a significant focus on cleaning, greening, and maintenance, special projects take place to deal with additional tasks in the precinct.

Installation of precinct entrance pylons

To create a sense of arrival into the CIBE precinct and bolster the overall look of the area, we are looking to install two entrance feature pylons on Longifolia Road and Syringa Road.

Expansion of CCTV coverage

Four CCTV cameras will be installed to cover the stretch of road from Longifolia Road Bridge to the R102 intersection. This will go a long way in increasing safety in and around the CIBE precinct.

Installation of Number Plate Recognition (NPR) cameras

This year four NPR cameras will be installed at the two precinct entrances. These cameras provide an added security measure and will allow for easy recognition of number plates during bad weather and nightfall.
