There are three notable projects set to take place in the precinct soon. Watch this space.

The CCTV Expansion project –  installation of CCTV cameras to cover precinct entrances on JG Champion Drive. This will allow us to monitor the stretch going from the Tottum Road robots, over the CIBE bridge, and down to the R102 intersection. We will also be installing number plate recognition (NPR) cameras in these areas to pick up flagged vehicles entering the precinct. These efforts go a long way in ensuring safety is always a priority within the precinct.

Entrance feature pylons – we are in the process of installing two entrance feature pylons on Longifolia Road and Syringa Road. These will add a sense of arrival as you enter the precinct.

Satellite phone from the CIBEMA control room –  backup communications will be installed in our control room in case of loss in network reception as we saw during the July riots and during states of disaster. This will assist in our operation and security teams still being allowed to communicate when there is  a drop in traditional communication channels.
