Respondent Demographics:
In the previous year, the survey garnered 164 responses, while the current year received an increased total of 179 responses. This growth in engagement reflects heightened interest from stakeholders within the precinct.
Business Confidence:
The average business confidence rating improved from 8.45/10 (2023) to 9.63/10 (2024). This significant increase demonstrates an enhanced perception of the precinctβs management and overall business environment among respondents.
Safety Perception:
Safety perceptions remained exceptionally high, with 99% of respondents feeling safe during the day in both survey periods. At night, 91% of respondents did not enter the precinct, but among those who did, the majority felt safe, indicating effective safety measures continue to be in place.
Cleanliness and Appearance:
Overall cleanliness ratings remained consistent. In the previous year, 98% of respondents rated the overall cleanliness of open spaces as excellent or great, which increased to 99% in the current year.
Overall Experience Rating:
The average experience rating increased from 8.52/10 (2023) to 9.23/10 (2024), reflecting an overall positive sentiment towards the precinct. This rise indicates that respondents feel increasingly satisfied with their experiences in the precinct.
Key Strengths and Areas for Improvement:
Key strengths identified by respondents in both survey periods include cleanliness and safety. Suggestions for improvement remained similar, focusing on enhancing parking facilities and establishing a proper truck/taxi stop area, highlighting specific infrastructure needs.
Community Engagement:
In the previous year, 99% of respondents indicated they would recommend CIBEMA to others, a figure that remained unchanged in the current year. The engagement with monthly insights and newsflashes was also reported positively, with all respondents feeling well-informed about precinct activities.
