Security remains a top priority in the Cornubia Industrial and Business Estate (CIBE), and February has seen continued efforts to maintain a safe and well-monitored environment. Through proactive surveillance, rapid response, and ongoing infrastructure improvements, we are committed to keeping the precinct secure.
Crime Prevention: No Incidents Reported
We are pleased to report that there have been no crime-related incidents within the precinct this month. However, there was an attempted break-in at one of our camera kiosks, which was ultimately unsuccessful. Our security teams responded swiftly, preventing any damage or loss. Additional measures have been put in place to deter further attempts, and our teams remain vigilant to safeguard precinct infrastructure.
Expanding CCTV Coverage in the Precinct
Steady progress has been made on the CCTV expansion project, further strengthening our security infrastructure. A new PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera has been installed and is now live on JG Champion Drive, significantly improving surveillance in this high-traffic area. The camera provides enhanced monitoring capabilities, allowing for improved real-time response to any incidents.
New Number Plate Recognition Cameras Installed
In addition to the PTZ camera, four number plate recognition (NPR) cameras have been installed at key entry points into the precinct. These cameras, positioned on Longifolia Road and Syringa Road, will assist in tracking and monitoring vehicles entering and exiting CIBE. By capturing and logging vehicle information, this system adds another layer of security, supporting crime prevention efforts within the precinct.
Ongoing Commitment to a Secure Precinct
Our ongoing investment in security technology and proactive monitoring is aimed at creating a safer business environment for all stakeholders. The expansion of our CCTV network and continued vigilance from security teams ensure that CIBE remains a well-protected precinct.
We will continue to provide updates as security infrastructure improvements progress. Thank you to all precinct members for your cooperation in maintaining a safe and secure environment.
