Throughout July, eThekwini Municipality remained active in the Cornubia Industrial and Business Estate, responding to a range of service delivery issues. While challenges remain—particularly in streetlighting—progress has been made in several other key areas.
Streetlight Repairs Hold Steady
Precinct streetlight functionality held at 82% operational, with no month-on-month improvement. While this is not the progress we had hoped for, our management team continues to escalate this and other unresolved faults to the relevant departments to ensure continued pressure for resolution.
Sewer and Water Interventions
The Wastewater Department responded to a blocked sewer on Syringa Road, successfully unblocking and cleaning the affected area. In addition, the Water Department attended to a freshwater leak on Longifolia Road and resolved a water leak on Tottum Road, helping to maintain essential infrastructure.
