Ongoing infrastructure improvements by eThekwini Municipality in CIBE

The Cornubia Industrial and Business Estate (CIBE) continues to benefit from essential infrastructure improvements, with several key projects being addressed by eThekwini Municipality over the past month. These efforts are critical to maintaining the safety, functionality, and overall well-being of our precinct.

Streetlight Repairs in Progress

The repair of streetlights remains a top priority, with ongoing work focused on addressing cable faults along Syringa Road. Currently, 62% of the precinct’s streetlights are operational, with most of the faulty lights concentrated on Syringa and Belladonna Roads. As eThekwini Municipality continues their efforts, we expect further improvements that will enhance visibility and safety across CIBE, particularly during nighttime hours.

Sewer Maintenance on Tottum Road

In addition to streetlight repairs, the wastewater department successfully unblocked a sewer on Tottum Road this month. This maintenance work is crucial for preventing disruptions and maintaining the sanitation infrastructure within the precinct.

Stormwater Inlet Replacements on Crassula Road

The Roads Department also carried out essential work by replacing stormwater inlets on Crassula Road. These replacements help improve water drainage, reducing the risk of flooding and ensuring that our roadways remain functional and safe, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall.

These ongoing infrastructure improvements demonstrate the commitment to maintaining and enhancing the Cornubia Industrial and Business Estate for the benefit of all who work and do business within the precinct.
