Streetlights Repaired & Circle Upgraded by eTM in CIBE

Municipal Services

CIBE continues to prioritise infrastructure reliability, safety, and precinct upkeep through ongoing collaboration with eThekwini Municipality. Recent work has focused on improving road verges, addressing streetlights and completing infrastructure upgrades.

Verge Maintenance on 3 Key Routes

An eThekwini contractor was on site this month, carrying out verge cutting and maintenance along several key roads within the precinct, including JG Champion Drive, Belladonna Road and Syringa Road. This work ensures improved visibility, accessibility, and overall precinct presentation, particularly along high-traffic routes.

Streetlight Repairs: Progress from 60% to 64% Functionality

Streetlight maintenance remains a key focus area for improving safety and visibility across the precinct. Recent progress includes:

  • 5 streetlight fittings repaired and reinstalled
  • 7 fittings removed for further repair

After the reinstalled fittings, streetlight functionality is expected to increase to approximately 60% to 64% operational capacity.

Crassula Road Circle Upgrade Complete

A highlight this month was also the successful completion of the Crassula Road traffic circle upgrade, which not only improves overall infrastructure quality within the precinct but also improves traffic flow and safety.

CIBEMA remains committed to working closely with municipal partners and contractors to drive continuous improvements in these areas. Members of the public are encouraged to report any maintenance or safety issues using theΒ online fault reporting platform.Β
