Zero Crime and Proactive Maintenance

Cleaning, Greening and Maintenance

February continued a strong and positive trend across the Cornubia Industrial and Business Estate (CIBE), with consistent cleaning, greening, and maintenance efforts ensuring the precinct remains safe, functional and visually appealing.

No Crime Reported in February

CIBE maintained its excellent safety record this month, with no crime or security-related incidents reported within the precinct’s public spaces. Vigilant monitoring and well-maintained public spaces continue to support a secure environment for all businesses, employees, and visitors.

Active Cleaning, Greening and Maintenance

The Cleaning, Greening and Maintenance (CGM) team remained active throughout the month, focusing on:

  • Weekly grass-cutting and verge maintenance
  • Ongoing garden maintenance and upkeep
  • Replacing damaged kerbs
  • Fixing road signage
  • Cleaning and disinfecting precinct bins

Changing Focus to Accommodate Extreme Heat

The recent period of extremely hot and dry weather conditions placed additional strain on landscaped areas. In response, the landscaping team undertook targeted garden replanting to revitalise affected beds and ensure the precinct’s green spaces remain presentable and sustainable. In addition to replanting efforts, essential infrastructure maintenance, including repairing signs and kerbing, continued throughout the month.

Development Momentum

Construction activity remains steady, with three active sites currently under development. A further two sites on Tottum Road are progressing through the design review process. This leaves only two sites within the precinct that are either undeveloped or awaiting plans approval.

Through consistent effort and proactive maintenance, CIBE remains a clean, secure, and well-managed industrial precinct, reinforcing its reputation as a sought-after location for business growth.
